This 1974 Ford Bronco project came to us with a great body with lots of character. The customer wanted definitive upgrades in performance and reliability, as well as a creature comfort interior. Plans moved forward with locating a new Gen 3 Ford motorsports 5.0 Coyote engine and 10R80 automatic transmission. A complete teardown ensued with media blast of the chassis, inner body panels, floor and firewall. A touch of rust repair was required to keep the floors solid and modifications to firewall and inner fender panels to make the engine bay a suitable surrounding for the new modern drivetrain. We freshened up every angle of the chassis with new springs, shocks, steering components, front and rear differentials. Fresh coats of paint now cover the chassis and inside of the body as we move forward with final assembly. Stay tuned for this will be one sleepy looking race horse that’ll be ready to outrun most trail ponies.
